40-Hour Radiation Safety Class

Ronan conducts an extensive Radiation Safety Course designed for people "authorized to use or supervise the use of licensed materials". Individuals who successfully complete this course will have met the NRC requirements for training necessary to serve as a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO).

  • Safety personnel

Certificate of completion

Upon completion of the course, a certificate is awarded to participants by Ronan Engineering Company. Certification of training is necessary in order to obtain a specific license from the NRC or an Agreement State.

Location

Courses are conducted every other month at Ronan's facility in Florence, Kentucky, conveniently located six miles from the Northern Kentucky / Greater Cincinnati International Airport.

Courses can also be held at your facility. Contact Ronan's scheduling department for scheduling and quotes.

Cost

For the in-house school, cost per attendant is $850.00

For on-site schools, costs are based upon current field service rates + travel time, materials and expenses.

Registration

To enroll, your employer may submit a valid purchase order, check or VISA, American Express or Master Card. Payment must be received one week before the convening date. Early registration is encouraged due to the limited availability of class space. Registered applicants will be sent a confirming letter with lodging and travel information.

Hotel Accommodations

There are many hotels conveniently located within a few minutes' drive of Ronan's facility. Participants are responsible for their own reservations.

Cancellation Policy

In the event of a cancellation, your employer will be responsible for the tuition payment. Substitutions or rescheduling is permitted but must be received at least one week before the convening date.
